Letchworth family golf centre has recently been taken over by new management who are improving and refitting the business and premises. The golf course is a half sized course with 9 holes, up until the arrival of new management, the course was over grown and the business was failing. The new management have worked tirelessly to turn this all around.
My most recent purchase is an upgrade of my most commonly used lens. Until now, i have been using a Nikon 24-120mm ƒ3.5-5.6 which has a few limitations, due to the fall off in sharpness in the corners and the common problem of non-professional lenses where zooming into a scene or subject creates a fall in brightness.
Today I went the annual Hollowell steam and heavy horse fair, i wanted to test out my new lens (Nikon 24-70 ƒ2.8) The weather was pretty extreme with the sun blaring down on us and the humid conditions hitting the high 20s I must say that I love this lens. It is extremely sharp and versatile. although i do wish i had my Nikon 70-200 ƒ2.8 with me for the horse show as they were across the field. The event was raising money for the Warwickshire and Northhamptonshire Air Ambulance, which made an appearance at the show.
