It is constructed of 12 photos which have been painstakingly combined over the course of around 40 hours, to create a seamless image of the Kings Parade area of Cambridge. Creating a stitched image was necessary for two reasons. The first of which was so that I could capture an extremely wide image without resorting to using a fisheye lens, likewise, a fisheye would distort the image, not be able to capture a wide enough area, and leave the image with a relatively low resolution.
The angle of view produced by any lens would not be wide enough for this project, even with the Nikon 16mm fisheye lens, i would only have an angle of view of 180°, and creating an image of 12 megapixels. By stitching multiple photos I have achieved an angle of view of around 316° and a high resolution of almost 98 megapixels.
The high resolution of the image allows for it to be scaled up to wall size without a high loss in quality, it also allows me to zoom into the smallest details, to edit and remove any duplicate people due to them moving throughout the capturing process. This was one of the main issues with stitching multiple photos, during the capturing process, it is essential that I did not capture just half of a person or vehicle as they were entering or exiting the frame. It is also important to capture the entire set of images as quickly as possible so that people dont appear in another frame, creating duplicates that may be extremely hard to remove.

This is the latest and final version of the wall project, The production company have cut it in half and used the left side on the right and right on the left of the wall, this ensures the image fills the entire wall, because of this, some elements have been duplicated across both sides of the wall.[/two_columns]
